Cabbage Crunch Salad

This has been a family favorite for years. It's really quick to make and the contrast of tangy and sweet is amazing! One time we went camping and had extra barbecue chicken from the night before and added that in. It was so good!

Cabbage Crunch Salad
From the Essential Mormon Cookbook

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup sugar
3 T vinegar
1/2 t salt
Flavor packet from ramen noodles
1/2 head of cabbage, shredded
4 green onions, chopped
2 T toasted sesame seeds
1 package ramen noodles, broken and uncooked
1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
Red seedless grapes, halved
Mandarin oranges, optional

In a blender or dressing shaker combine oil, sugar, vinegar, salt and flavorings. Pour over your cabbage and stir until evenly incorporated. Add onions and sesame seeds and toss again. Don't add your ramen noodles, almonds and grapes until right before serving. Enjoy!
